Photos – My Photos Have Been Appearing Everywhere
So, I woke up today to an email from the BBC saying that they were using one of my photos on their front page that day. They used my photo “Stone Skipping” for their story “Stone skimming: How to be a champion“. So, I decided to hit up a little Google and see if any of my other photos were used anywhere else. Well, quite a few of them are…
I’ll list the photo name and then the article name with a link:

Tips to be taken from this? Creative Commons is quite fascinating. For those that don’t know about Creative Commons or how it works, check out their “about” page. All of my photography is uploaded to Flickr with the Creative Commons Attribution licence – meaning you’re allowed to use it for anything provided you give me credit.
It’s certainly cool to see your photography being used by other people from all around the internet. I’ve been asked by many of my friends if I minded the fact that I wasn’t being paid for this. I responded that there is a 99.999% chance these photos would NOT have been used if I was charging for them. THAT is the spirit of Creative Commons.
…and for some reason, the world thinks putting little candles in a bowl of cranberries is the greatest idea EVER.
