Guacamole is a pretty simple and ludicrously delicious thing. Read on for this easy masterpiece.
- 3 hass avocados
- 1 small lime
- 1 small tomato
- 1 jalapeño
- 1/2 red onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- Some fresh cilantro
First, put all of the ingredients in a fancy wire thing and crawl around your house on the floor looking for the right light to take artsy pictures to try to impress your friends.
Slice, core, and scoop the avocados into a bowl, add a good squeeze of lime and mash with a fork.
Chop the tomato (if using a garden tomato, seed it first), onion, and jalapeño (seeded unless you want it hot – weirdo) until it’s fairly fine (see stunningly gorgeous photograph). Chop cilantro. Add to the bowl.
Chop the hell out of the garlic (opinion of course, but I want the flavor, not the chunks in this case) and add it.
Squeeze the rest of the lime into the bowl. Add a good bit of salt at first. Stir it up.
Taste it. Add what you think it needs.
Don’t forget GOOD chips! Preferably unsalted. Enjoy!
